Nude Shade No.96 – Sculpted in Shadow is a black-and-white body study reduced to pure relief: a close, horizontal frame where skin becomes stone, and light becomes a carving tool. The image is built on a single decisive gesture—an abrupt transition from illuminated surface to dense shadow—so the figure reads as sculptural volume rather than portrait.

Texture is central here. Fine grain, pores, and the subtle irregularity of the surface hold the eye, while the composition compresses space into intersecting planes. What remains is not a scene but a tactile presence: weight, pressure, curvature, and the quiet authority of form.
