Nude Shade No.16 is a black-and-white close study of the torso, composed to emphasize curvature, tension, and the quiet architecture of the body. The frame isolates a single passage of form—shoulder, rib line, and hip—so that gesture becomes secondary to structure. Light falls softly across the skin, carving a restrained gradient that reveals volume without spectacle, while the darker ground keeps the image contained and intimate.
