Nude Shade No.131 – Velum Lucis is a black-and-white interior composition built around soft illumination, classical drapery, and quiet portrait presence. The figure is seated in an upholstered armchair, framed with restrained geometry and gentle tonal depth. A ribbon-like veil of fabric wraps the body, introducing the central motif: light as a “veil” — something that reveals form while simultaneously softening it.

The palette is reduced to light, shadow, and texture. The draped fabric creates rhythmic lines across the torso, echoing the chair’s ornament and reinforcing a calm, sculptural atmosphere. Narrative remains minimal; the work holds attention through posture, gaze, and the measured fall of light across skin and textile.
