Incognito No.25 – Corpus Compressum is a study of tension contained within stillness. The composition focuses on the torso, where subtle shifts in posture and the placement of the hands create a quiet compression of form. The body becomes both subject and structure, its lines converging toward the center in a controlled, almost architectural arrangement.
The title—“Corpus Compressum,” meaning *compressed body*—reflects this visual concentration. Rather than presenting the figure in full narrative space, the image isolates a moment of physical presence where gesture and proportion speak more strongly than identity. The absence of the face reinforces the Incognito principle: the figure exists as form, not as portrait.
Rendered in black and white, the photograph emphasizes tonal depth and sculptural clarity. Light travels across the surface of the skin, tracing subtle variations of muscle and shadow, while the darker background frames the figure with deliberate simplicity. The result is restrained and contemplative, balancing intimacy with formal precision.
Created as a high-resolution photographic artwork, the piece is intended for limited edition fine art printing. Prints are produced using archival pigment printing on museum-quality paper, signed and numbered by the artist, and prepared for long-term preservation.
Multiple sizes are available. Production is made to order; worldwide shipping is available. For detailed information about materials and edition policy, please see Limited Editions and Process & Materials.
