Incognito No.16 – Imperium Tacitum presents the human figure as a quiet symbol of presence and control. The composition is intentionally minimal: a neutral background, strong directional light, and the central silhouette of the figure define the entire visual structure of the image.
The Latin title “Imperium Tacitum,” meaning *silent authority*, reflects the calm confidence suggested by the posture of the subject. The wide-brimmed hat casts a shadow across the face, preserving anonymity while also becoming a strong graphic element within the composition. This concealment of identity is a recurring principle of the Incognito series, where the body itself becomes the primary language of the image.
The black-and-white palette enhances the sculptural quality of light across the torso and arms. Highlights and shadows create a controlled rhythm that emphasizes form, balance, and proportion rather than narrative detail. The overall atmosphere remains restrained, allowing the viewer to focus on the relationship between light, geometry, and the quiet presence of the figure.
Produced as a limited edition fine art print, the artwork is printed using archival pigment printing on museum-quality paper. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and prepared for long-term preservation.
