Black Illusions No.24 _ Limes Forma _ is a monochrome figurative composition of enclosure, fluidity, and sculptural surrender. A nude female figure lies within the curved basin of a bathtub, her body unfolding through arcs of tension and release, transforming the scene into an image poised between contemporary fine art nude, ritual immersion, and dark interior theatre. The work carries an atmosphere of suspended intimacy, where the body appears both contained and adrift within a private chamber of water, porcelain, and shadow.
The composition is built on the dialogue between the organic lines of the figure and the smooth architectural contour of the tub. Limbs extend and fold in opposing directions, creating a visual rhythm of compression, reach, and repose, while the reflective water introduces a shifting secondary surface that softens and distorts the body’s sculptural clarity. The black-and-white treatment heightens the contrast between luminous skin, dark liquid, and the severe whiteness of the porcelain form, allowing the image to read as both sensual and formally controlled. What gives the work its force is the balance between bodily vulnerability and compositional precision, between immersion and restraint.
Limes Forma treats the nude figure as an artistic form shaped by containment, curvature, and reflective tension. The work transforms an intimate bath scene into an image of quiet captivity—somatic, elegant, and visually exact, suspended between flesh, water, and the architecture of enclosure.
